TNA Gearing up for January 4th, Upgrading the Impact Zone?

Ryan Clark over at WrestlingInc.com is reporting that TNA wrestling is looking to revamp the Impact Zone for the January 4th, 2010 live three hour TNA Impact special where they will be going head-to-head against WWE for the first time ever. Clark says that Eric Bischoff’s production company is being brought in to oversee the new design of the mini arena on the Universal Lot.

I might be a little naive, but I believe the best way for them to revamp their look is to either a) get rid of the six sided ring, it doesn’t work or b) have the taping at a larger arena. Sure it might be a little to late to do the former, but there is a lot of hype with this show so you never know – there might be a want to see the event live and in person.

That’s every Hulk Hogan Fan’s dream come true – right?

Breaking: Booker T Returning to WWE?

Former WCW, WWE, and TNA Wrestler Booker T is telling friends that he is going to be entering the 2010 Royal Rumble and that he will be wrestling for the Raw Brand come the brand new year. This news was broken by the Wrestling Observer today and it comes on the heel of news that another former WWE and WCW Wrestler is also set to return.

Booker T just finished a two year stint with TNA Wrestling where he feuded with Christian Cage among others. He also introduced a new title in the company called the “Legends Championship” and declared himself the first champion. Later he joined the wrestling group “Main Event Mafia”

The last time Booker T was in World Wrestling Entertainment he was known as “King Booker” after winning the King of the Ring tournament.

Is WWE a good place for Booker T or should he stay out of the main wrestling company and focus on his wrestling school in Texas?

Breaking News: Bret Hart Signs with WWE?

There are internet rumblings that the best there is, best there was, and best there ever will be. Bret “The Hitman” Hart has indeed signed a “temporary contract” with World Wrestling Entertainment that would make him part of the company from the beginning of the year through Wrestlemania. Wrestling Observer was the first to break the story on their website. The story cites an “insider source” that knows the specifics of the contract.

Such a deal would mean there is a possibility that Bret Hart would then be available to guest host the January 4th, 2010 Raw that goes head-to-head with TNA Impact’s first showing on Monday nights. There might be a Heart Foundation DVD set in the works, and also there is a rumor that the late Owen Hart might be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Dave Scherer on PWinsider.com says that he couldn’t confirm the internet rumor 100%, but he has talked to a few people within the company and they were all under the impression that after Bret’s name was mentioned this past week by Dennis Miller, that the company is moving forward with bringing him in.
